Little & Smith, Inc.


Little & Smith, Inc. was founded in 1926 by A.D. Little, Sr..  The A.D. Little Agency prospered in the business of insurance, loans, and real estate throughout the roaring twenties, the great depression era of the 1930's, and the war years of the 1940's.

In 1954, A.D. Little Jr. joined the business after serving his country in the U.S. Navy. In 1958, fellow serviceman Bill Smith,Sr. became a partner. The business continued to be successful throughout the 1960's and '70's.  The historic building at
202 Church Street, Marietta, GA, was acquired by the firm in 1975.

In 1984, Bill Smith, Jr. joined the agency after a three year apprenticeship with Chubb Insurance. The business changed its name to Little & Smith, Inc., and its sole focus turned to expertise in the commercial and residential insurance business.  During the next three decades, Little & Smith experienced extraordinary growth due to hard work, sound business practices, and a commitment to the highest levels of client service.
 
Because of its commitment to the highest level of service to its clients, Little & Smith, Inc. has twice been honored as
 the top-rated insurance agency in the U.S. in its revenue class by the IIABA Best Practices Study Group
